WWE News: Jey Uso returns to action amidst rumors of injury

Th
Jey Uso is back in action

What's the story?

SmackDown Live featured a tag team match this week that could have been really great if it was able to go the distance. But instead, it appeared Jey Uso took a bad bump when Chad Gable hit him with a chop block to the knee on the outside.

Uso wasn't able to stand back up and this led to not only a count of loss for the SmackDown Tag Team Champions but also speculation that Jey Uso might have been legitimately hurt. Thankfully, Rikishi's son has much better news to report.

In case you didn't know...

The Usos are part of the Anoa'i Samoan dynasty and they perform like two well-oiled machines. Therefore, with their incredible skill coupled with a prestigious pedigree, it's no wonder they've been sitting on top of WWE's tag team division for so long.

The heart of the matter

Even though it didn't look good for Jey Uso after Chad Gable took him down with a chop block on SmackDown Live, he was still able to get better enough and make it back to action when WWE took their show to Leeds on the next night.

It's a relief that one-half of the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions isn't injured. After all, WWE has needed to do some serious switching up of Survivor Series already and there could be more changes on the way because you really never know what to expect in the wild and wonderful world of pro wrestling where injuries and backstage politics can throw a monkeywrench in even the most certain of plans.

What's next?

Now it's off to Survivor Series where The Usos will battle The Bar in a cross-promotional championship feud.

Author's take

It's very good news that Jey Uso seems to be okay. After all, there were a lot of people who got very worried when they found out another change-up could be coming for Survivor Series. They've already experienced quite a bit of last minute changes already.
