What’s the story?
Former WWE announcer and Hall of Famer Jim Ross posted a new blog on his website, JRSBARBQ.com. The legendary wrote talked about a number of issues in pro-wrestling including Jinder Mahal’s push and Nakamura’s glamorous run with the blue brand. One of the major talking points of the blog was four-time RAW women’s champion, Charlotte Flair.
JR heaped praise on the second generation superstar and even went on to liken her to the iconic Hulk Hogan.
In case you didn’t know...
Charlotte is currently is the main event picture in the blue brand, competing for the Women’s Championship against the current holder, Naomi. Charlotte had a chance to become a five-time Women’s Champion this past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, but her chances were thwarted by the likes of Natalya, Tamina, and Carmella accompanied by James Ellsworth when they interfered in the title match.
The heart of the matter
Jim Ross pointed out that Charlotte had improved by leaps and bounds since the time she had joined the company. He mentioned that the combination of a world-class athlete and the Flair DNA made her a tremendous athlete. JR stated that the obsession of being the best was an inherent quality of the Flairs, and it pushed Charlotte to achieve the goals lined up in front of her.
JR went a step further when he declared that Charlotte had the potential of becoming as big a draw as Hulk Hogan.
“@MsCharlotteWWE is quickly developing into the ‘Hulk Hogan’ of her gender in WWE. It’s not far-fetched whatsoever to think that Charlotte will headline a major PPV some day in the future if things continue to progress.”
What’s next?
Charlotte will look to take the Women’s title once again, but she has made some enemies in the SmackDown Women’s division that may foil the party once again. The Queen may have to take down every one of Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina before she can turn her attention to Naomi.

There are rumours of a face turn for Charlotte on the blue brand. The babyface angle coupled with her astonishing move set will surely garner her the crowd support that is needed for a big push.
With the next SmackDown LIVE pay per view, Backlash, still a few weeks away, Charlotte will have to contend with facing Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina in the weeks leading up to the event, cementing her in the babyface position on team blue.
