WWE News: Jim Ross says Stone Cold will never wrestle again

The two have created iconic moments together in The Attitude Era

Jim Ross is considered to be the single greatest professional wrestling commentator of all time. He has called all of Stone Cold’s most iconic moments, making him an icon and thus earning a spot in the WWE Hall Of Fame.

He is also very interactive with the fans, be it through twitter, his own blog, or otherwise. He has a Q&A section on his blog, which he takes his time out to answer. He was asked on his blog if he ever sees The Texas Rattlesnake returning to the squared circle, to which he insisted that he doesn’t see it every happening. He said:

"Nope...Austin is done wrestling. However, one never knows when he might make an appearance"

What Good Ol’ JR said is not wrong by any means. Stone Cold was forced to retire in 2003 after the nagging neck injuries caught up to him, and to his credit, he has not wrestled since.

There are very few people who have stayed put in retirement, and one of them is fellow Texan and WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels, who has not wrestled in the 6+ years that he has been retired.

There were rumours a few weeks back after the Royal Rumble was announced to be in the Alamodome in San Antonio, that the Texas Rattlesnake could be making an appearance for the Rumble to “put some butts in seats”.

Naturally, if he does appear, it will absolutely be in strictly a non-wrestling capacity. He did make an appearance at this year’s Wrestlemania along with Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley when the three legends went to lay a beat down on The League Of Nations.

Stone Cold, unfortunately, suffered a shoulder injury when throwing a punch to Rusev.

Here is Steve Austin interviewing Good Ol’ JR on his podcast a couple of years back. Here is the first part:
