What’s the Story?

SmackDown Live superstar Jimmy Uso, real name Jonathan Fatu, was arrested in Detroit, Michigan following an alleged altercation with police according to a report from TMZ.

The WWE superstar is currently out on bond.

In Case You Didn’t Know

The report says that Uso and his wife, Naomi were pulled over by police after Naomi was driving the wrong direction on a one-way street.

The police smelled alcohol from the vehicle and asked Naomi to step out of the car. Uso eventually got out of the car against police orders while Naomi was talking with the authorities.

The Heart of the Matter

The situation escalated when Uso stepped out of the car and was seemingly preparing to fight the authorities. A taser was pulled out by a police officer before Uso was calmed down.

Uso was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice and would post bail in Detroit.

After news of his arrest broke, WWE released a short statement on the altercation to PWInsider saying “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Uso has been arrested previously, but those charges were dealing with intoxication. His previous alcohol-related arrest took place in 2013 when the WWE superstar was charged with driving under the influence in Hillsborough County, Florida.

Uso was also arrested in 2011 where the WWE superstar was arrested for driving under the influence in Tampa, Florida where he drove the wrong direction on a one-way street according to another report from TMZ.

The Usos are currently scheduled to face The Miz and Shane McMahon this Sunday at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
