The Usos were last seen at Battleground, where they raised the victorious Dean Ambrose who was celebrating with the Smackdown roster over his victory against his former Shield brothers of the Raw brand. The Usos had faced off against Breezango earlier that night on the pre-show in an unsuccessful effort. Either during the match or after it, Jimmy Uso got injured and they have not appeared together on WWE television for the last month or so.The Usos will have a vital role on Smackdown Live as the tag team division is still quite shallow. They will definitely be #2 to American Alpha on the Smackdown Live roster. Other teams on the roster include The Ascension, The Vaudevillains, The Hype Bros and Breezango. Jimmy Uso is returning from injury soon even though he has not yet been officially cleared. Either way, it is expected that he will be cleared soon. Once he is, The Usos will jump straight back into the mix. It is a good time for them to return, as Smackdown Live will focus on the new tag team titles that are to be introduced sometime after Summerslam. They will undoubtedly be one of the top considerations to be the first Smackdown tag team champions.
