What's the Story?

SmackDown Live superstar Jimmy Uso, real name Jonathan Fatu, reached a plea deal with prosecutors following his altercation and arrest in Detroit last month according to TMZ.

The SmackDown Tag Team Champion plead no contest to interfering with a government employee and was ordered to pay a fine.

In Case You Didn't Know...

Uso and his wife, Naomi, were pulled over by Detroit police in February after Naomi was seen driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Police asked Naomi to step out of the car, which lead to Uso preparing to fight the authorities. After he was calmed down, Uso was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice - Naomi wasn't charged with a crime.

The Heart of the Matter

Uso struck a deal with Detroit prosecutors in which he agreed to plead no contest to interfering with a government employee, will pay $450 in fines and will serve no jail time.

WWE released a statement at the time of Uso's arrest which said "Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions."

The news of his arrest broke days before WWE's pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber, where Jimmy & Jey Uso won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from Shane McMahon and The Miz.

Jimmy has been arrested previously, but those charges were dealing with intoxication. His previous alcohol-related arrest took place in 2013 when the WWE superstar was charged with driving under the influence in Hillsborough County, Florida.

He was also arrested in 2011 for driving under the influence in Tampa, Florida where he drove the wrong direction on a one-way street.

What's Next?

The Usos have not been booked to defend their tag team championships at WrestleMania despite the show being two weeks away.

WrestleMania 35 will take place on Sunday, April 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
