WWE News: Jinder Mahal predicts Ronda Rousey's career in WWE

In an interview with MMAJunkie, Jinder Mahal gave his prediction on how Ronda Rousey’s career in the WWE could turn out.

Mahal asserted that Rousey will go on to dominate professional wrestling just like she dominated the UFC. The Modern Day Maharajah also explained the reason behind his high hopes regarding Rousey’s WWE career.

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey debuted as a WWE Superstar at the WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV this past Sunday night.

Rousey has signed a full-time contract with the WWE and is set to report to the WWE Performance Center very soon.

The heart of the matter

Jinder Mahal seemed highly optimistic about Ronda Rousey having signed a full-time deal with the WWE. Below are a few excerpts from his statements regarding the same—

“That speaks volumes for her…I know she was a big wrestling fan growing up, and her name comes from ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. She’s a wrestling fan and I know she has a passion for the business, which is sometimes the hardest thing because sometimes people just come from the outside and they don’t have the passion for it. It’s just a one-time deal — oh, WrestleMania — and it’s a big paycheck—that’s awesome that she’s signed full-time, (and) just like she dominated the UFC, she’s going to dominate pro wrestling.”

Furthermore, Mahal elucidated that one has got to have a passion for the pro-wrestling business or else it’s incredibly difficult to survive in it. The former WWE Champion added that WWE Superstars travel to several cities the world over, and have to deal with considerable wear-and-tear on their bodies; and it’s their passion for the business which helps them get through the daily grind.

What’s next?

Jinder Mahal presently competes in the mid-card of the WWE’s SmackDown Live brand. On the other hand, Ronda Rousey is busy filming her movie ‘Mile 22’, and is expected to be involved in a prominent storyline in the lead-up to Wrestlemania 34.

It’s hard to disagree with Jinder Mahal, as Ronda Rousey truly is the complete package.

Rousey is highly competitive, and despite the pro-wrestling/sports-entertainment business being incredibly challenging, there’s nothing Rousey can’t do when she sets her mind to it.
