Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles will battle over the WWE Title this Tuesday

Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles will battle over the WWE Title this Tuesday

What’s the story?

Following the massive announcement of the WWE championship match earlier today by Shane McMahon, WWE posted a video on their official Twitter handle in which Jinder Mahal decided to send a message to the Smackdown commissioner, AJ Styles, and Brock Lesnar.

In case you didn’t know…

Earlier this month Jinder Mahal challenged the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar for a one-on-one match at this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. Since then Mahal has gone on to state that he remains confident of the fact that he is going slay "The Beast Incarnate" come November 19.

However, Lesnar isn’t the only challenger on Mahal’s plate right now as “The Modern Day Maharaja” also finds himself in a feud against “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles over on Smackdown Live.

On this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, Mahal put a brutal assault on Styles following AJ’s victory over Samir Singh. However, Shane McMahon would announce— via his official Twitter, that due to Mahal viciously blindsiding Styles this week he would now have to defend his WWE Championship against “The Phenomenal One” next week on Smackdown Live.

The heart of the matter

Despite having to deal with both Styles and Lesnar at the same time, Mahal seems to be confident as he sent a message to both of his upcoming challengers, via the social media.

In WWE’s posted clip Jinder Mahal stated that Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon has no idea who he has as the WWE Champion and also Shane has no idea who he has representing Smackdown Live. Mahal, however, then added that he has billions of fans all over the world who recognize the greatness of “The Modern Day Maharaja”.

Mahal then addressed his opponent for this Tuesday, AJ Styles and said that he is going use Styles as a “stepping stone” in order to conquer his Survivor Series opponent, Brock Lesnar. The World Champion ended his message by saying that he is going to become “The Beast Master” come November 19th.

What’s next?

As for Jinder Mahal, his first and current goal will be to beat “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles this coming Tuesday when Smackdown Live hits Manchester, as part of WWE’s UK tour.

If Mahal is capable of beating Styles next week, then he will turn his focus towards the current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. However, if Styles manages to conquer Jinder Mahal on Smackdown then it will Styles who will face Brock Lesnar at the Toyota Center, later this month.

Author’s Take

Personally, I would love to Styles defeating Mahal next week and become a two time WWE World Champion and also end Mahal’s reign as WWE Champion.

I haven’t been a fan of Jinder as the top champion of the WWE and in my opinion, Styles should be representing the company as the top champion, not Mahal.
