The main event during the go-home show for TLC had many implications. If Roman Reigns could win the match then Braun Strowman was out of their main event match at TLC. But if Braun Strowman could pull down the victory then The Miz could add another partner to create a 5 vs 3 handicap match for the main event at TLC.
We were in the middle of yet another match between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns but this time it was inside a solid steel cage. The Monster Among Men wasn't showing much damage throughout the match no matter what Roman Reigns tried to throw at him.
Suddenly just as it looked like Roman Reigns was about to turn it around for himself and score the win, The Bar jumped in and climbed up to stop him. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins jumped in for the assist and the four of them were soon brawling around the ring.
Then Roman Reigns took control. But just as it looked like Braun Strowman was going to be defeated inside a cage, the lights went out and were replaced by the flickering red flames of Kane.
Before we knew what was happening, Kane busted through the ring and hit Reigns with a chokeslam and a Tombstone. Braun Strowman finished off Reigns and The Miz announced that Kane was going to be their new partner at TLC.
It looks like Kane was able to find some time to take off from his busy mayoral campaign in order to step back in the squared circle for a bit.
