The Big Red Machine has announced his candidacy for Knox County mayor in Knoxville, TN. After he filed paperwork to name a treasurer last February, people were expecting him to put his name in the hat.
Glenn Jacobs has been away from WWE television for quite some time, as of late, and after he said he considered a run back in an interview in May 2016, it seems he’s ready to try to run for office.

Knoxville’s Primary Election Day is August 29th, 2017. It’s very likely we won’t see Kane for a while as he tries to run his campaign.
As mentioned, Kane has been away from television for a while now. He was last involved in the SmackDown Live storyline between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt, where he aligned with Randy Orton until The Viper turned on him. Not long after that, he was written out of television, and faced an injury of sorts while also focusing more on the insurance company he runs with his wife.
