WWE News: Kelly Kelly opens up about potential WWE return
What’s the story?
In a recent interview with E!, Kelly Kelly opened up on a potential return to the squared circle.
She said that she still loves the sport, and reiterated that she’s in great shape and could most definitely return to pro-wrestling competition.
In case you didn’t know…
Kelly Kelly, whose real name is Barbie Blank, made her professional wrestling debut at the age of 19 back in 2006 and worked with the WWE from then till her departure in 2012.
Now 30 years of age, Kelly Kelly returned to the WWE earlier this year, working as an ambassador in a non-wrestling capacity.
The heart of the matter
Given her recent return to the WWE as an ambassador, coupled with an appearance on the WWE program ‘Table For 3’, the professional wrestling community is abuzz with talk of Kelly Kelly possibly making a comeback to the WWE’s main television shows.
Addressing the aforementioned talk of her in-ring return, the former WWE Divas Champion said, “I tell everybody, there is no feeling like walking through that curtain and having the fans chant your name…That's a feeling unlike anything else.
“I always say, 'Never say never' (and) I'm only 30, and my body's still intact. I may have a few more matches in me (so) you never know!"
Kelly Kelly presently works as a model and actress, besides serving as an ambassador to the WWE.
Double K was one of my favourites towards the end of the Ruthless Aggression Era and the beginning of the PG era.
I truly believe Kelly Kelly to be one of the most prodigious performers ever, given the fact that she came into the WWE as a model, with no previous wrestling experience whatsoever.
