What’s the story?

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens had quite the exchange of tweets regarding the European Tour and Orton didn’t pull any punches.

In case you didn’t know...

Orton and Owens have been at odds since Shane McMahon began selecting wrestlers for the SmackDown Men’s Team for Survivor Series.

Orton defeated Sami Zayn to join the SmackDown Men’s Team and Orton prevented Zayn from interfering in Owens’ match against Shinsuke Nakamura to join the SmackDown Team the following week.

The heart of the matter

The exchange between Owens and Orton began when Owens replied to Matty on Twitter who made mention of the fact that Owens came to his wedding dessert party. Orton replied saying Owens was bound to show up because it had desserts.

Owens responded simply by saying “you vape” to Orton.

Orton then responded by saying that he quit vaping during the tour and brought up the fact that Zayn and Owens were sent home from the European tour by saying “you wouldn’t know because you ain’t here.”

Owens responded by claiming he thought it read that Orton quit the company and that he was really excited at first. He also sent two more tweets directed at Orton and the exchange they had.

What’s next?

The SmackDown Men’s Team was filled last week when McMahon announced that John Cena will be the fifth man for the Survivor Series te.

With no spots left to fight over, this online feud between Owens and Orton could be something for the fans on Twitter or it could lead to a match on this week’s episode of SmackDown.

Author’s Take

Owens and Orton have never pulled punches on social media and their latest exchange did not disappoint.

Hopefully, there’ll be more of this to come.
