WWE News: Kevin Owens comments on when he will return to action

What's the story?

Kevin Owens turned face against Lashley in September 2018. He would be written off television by Lashley however, to deal with a legitimate injury.

A few days ago, Owens wrestled Adam Cole in front of one person, and the WWE Universe believed that this was a sign that he would be returning to action. Kevin Owens killed those rumours with the following tweet.

I appreciate people getting excited after my tweet earlier today but I’m beginning to put some furniture together in my house just now and I’m not coming back to @WWE until I’m done with that and I suck at it so I’ll see you all in a few months, maybe more.Thank you. Take care!

In case you didn't know...

Kevin Owens was the heel for most of the summer program against Braun Strowman. Although he's been a bad guy for most of his WWE run, the crowd has always been on Owens' side, and he showed signs of a face turn right before his departure.

Owens put the following Tweet out, getting people excited. He also took a shot at the dirt sheets in the same.

Funnily enough, on the RAW after WWE TLC, Kevin Owens' return to action had been teased in a vignette.

The heart of the matter

Kevin Owens has made it clear that he has his domestic responsibilities in mind for the time being and will not be making a comeback to WWE for a few months at least. However, this is exactly the kind of thing he would say to throw people off the scent that he could come back at any time.

It will be interesting to see if Kevin Owens comes back as a babyface or a heel, upon his return. Also, will he go after Lashley or will he be thrust into a different role? And most importantly, will he make his return soon or down the line?

What's next?

Owens will be a welcome addition to a roster without Roman Reigns and with Seth Rollins injured. WWE needs all the firepower it can get on the road to WrestleMania. Let's hope he returns sooner rather than later.
