What’s the story?

In an interview with Muscle & Fitness, Kurt Angle revealed who his favourite RAW Superstars are.

Expounding on the same, Angle asserted that Braun Strowman is right up there; comparing the latter to himself. Besides, Angle also praised ‘The Big Dog‘ Roman Reigns.

In case you didn’t know…

Kurt Angle was one of the WWE’s top Superstars throughout the Attitude Era, and ahead of Monday Night RAW’s 25th-anniversary episode next month, Angle spoke in detail on who his favourite RAW Superstars are today.

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns are widely regarded as the top Superstars in the WWE right now, with several fans and experts concurring with the belief.

The heart of the matter

Kurt Angle compared Braun Strowman to himself; insinuating that he came into pro-wrestling as an amateur wrestler with no sports-entertainment background akin to Strowman who came in as a former pro power-lifter; with both Superstars achieving considerable success nonetheless—

“I don't like to compare myself to anybody, but Braun Strowman is picking up quicker than anybody I know. He's on his way, if he stays healthy, to be one of the best big men in the great history of the big men. That's how much ability he's displayed."

Furthermore, Angle opined that he believes Roman Reigns is yet to reach his peak as a sports-entertainer. Angle continued that it just goes to show how good Reigns really is.

What’s next?

Kurt Angle presently serves as the General Manager of the WWE’s RAW brand. On the other hand, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns compete on RAW, with the latter reigning as the WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Meanwhile, Braun is set to compete in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Universal Championship against Kane and Brock Lesnar (C).

Author’s take

It’s hard to disagree with Kurt Angle here, in the sense that Braun Strowman could truly etch his name in the history books alongside legendary big men such as Kane, Big Show and The Undertaker—should the Monster Among Men continue on the path he is right now.

As for Roman Reigns, the Shield powerhouse is indeed in his prime right now, and if a legend like Angle feels the former could surpass his current version, it’s baffling to think how much better the Big Dog could really get. Reigns truly is the best in the business today.
