WWE News: Kurt Angle expected to wrestle more after being cleared to compete at TLC

He's coming ba
He's coming back, but how often?

What's the story?

WWE's TLC looked like it was going to be an event wrapped around the idea of returning The Shield back to the spot on the card they gave up after they broke up. But now it looks like the event is going to have a much different kind of return as Kurt Angle will have his first match in a WWE ring in eleven years.

But what does this mean for Angle's future status as a part-time performer? Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin revealed that he's heard some very promising things.

In case you didn't know...

Kurt Angle had a Hall Of Fame worthy career even before going to TNA and wrestling for another decade. His time in Dixie-Carter Land is one of the chief reasons why Impact Wrestling's library is so valuable to WWE. It holds a ton of matches between Kurt Angle and some of the best pro wrestlers of the modern era.

The heart of the matter

Kurt Angle's return to the ring had to come with some kind of medical clearance attached. It's curious WWE is going to clear Angle to wrestle this event, but then again they were in a huge pinch at the moment.

Therefore Kurt Angle will join the team currently losing the numbers game at TLC where he will partner with Seth Rollins and Deam Ambrose to face The Miz, The Bar, Braun Strowman, and Kane. This clearance for Kurt Angle to work TLC also seemingly opens the door for way more down the line.

Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin said he heard since Angle was cleared to wrestle at TLC, it is "very possible" for the WWE Hall Of Famer to work a Big Four pay-per-view as well.

What's next?

Hopefully, Kurt Angle will be able to impress fans and WWE management enough to prove he still has what it takes to perform in the ring just like old times. He needs to have a good showing, therefore fans might be able to expect more action from Angle in the future with a proper amount of time dedicated to the build-up for the match. Let's just hope that the dangers of a TLC match don't cause any awfully-timed injuries.

Author's take

I really couldn't have been happier to hear Kurt Angle was given the green light to wrestle again, but these are far from ideal circumstances. Hopefully, anyone suffering from a "viral infection" backstage in WWE (or anywhere else for that matter) is able to pull through and stay healthy from this point onward.

But I guess this just proves everything happens for a reason and Kurt Angle might have been meant to return to TLC just like AJ Styles was meant to face Finn Balor.

It's just that WWE's powers that be needed a little coaxing in the right direction from the sometimes cruel hand of fate. After all, the best booker for the WWE Universe can be the actual universe itself.
