WWE News: Kurt Angle has high praise for Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle
The two of them look to be training hard!

What's the story?

Kurt Angle recently took to social media to shower praise on fellow Olympian and his tag team partner at WrestleMania, Ronda Rousey, in a post on Instagram showing the two training for the match.

In case you didn’t know…

Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble PPV in January, to a rousing pop from the WWE Universe. The Rowdy One signed her WWE contract at the Elimination Chamber PPV, in a segment that ended with Rousey putting Triple H through a table.

The next few weeks saw Rousey's match at WrestleMania being finalised, with her now set to take on the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, with Kurt Angle as her tag team partner.

The heart of the matter

It appears that Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle have already begun training for their match at the 'show of shows', as seen in the post by Kurt Angle.

The Olympic Gold medalist showered his partner with high praise, commenting about the Arm Collector's amazing work ethic and willingness to learn.

What's next?

Rousey is set to make her in-ring debut at the 'Grandest Stage of them All' WrestleMania 34, which is set to emanate from the Mercedes Benz Super Dome, New Orleans on April 8th.

Author's take

It seems like The Rowdy One is indeed training hard for her first ever WWE match. Though her mic skills have been slightly underwhelming till now, Rousey's MMA experience will surely come in handy while training for her pro wrestling debut.

It remains to be seen whether Rousey will able to showcase her complete potential though, seeing how the remaining three members of her match are not full-time wrestlers. It perhaps would have been better to have Rousey go up against another female Superstar on the roster.

However, the star power of the match cannot be discounted; it is always exciting to see the likes of Kurt Angle and Triple H return to the ring!
