What's the story?

Kurt Angle was recently a part of a Facebook Q&A, where he talked about a lot of topics including his love triangle storyline with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, his preference between his match with Undertaker at No Way Out 2006 or Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 21 and the current morale of WWE Superstars among other things.

In case you didn't know...

Kurt Angle is not only a former WWE Champion but the first only Olympic Medalist to ever accomplish that feat.

Angle was an integral part of the attitude era but left the company in 2006 due to differences with Vince McMahon. However, the master of the ankle lock made a return to WWE in 2017 when he got inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.

He became the GM of RAW soon after and has competed in a couple of matches as well.

The heart of the matter

When asked about WWE Superstars asking for their release, here is what he had to say:

You need to understand that there are so many talented superstars, but there’s only one main event each pay per view. The company tries to utilize each star as much as they can. WWE is not going to please everybody because most of these superstars won’t make it to main event level. There is only so much room on each show. I honestly think that the talent level is as high as it’s ever been right now. And because of that, there will be some unhappy superstars that want [to be] released.

What's next?

Kurt Angle is currently embroiled in a feud with Baron Corbin, and while many feel it is merely a filler storyline, we will have to wait and see what direction this program takes.

There are also rumors that WWE is planning to have Angle wrestle his last match at Wrestlemania 35, and the WWE legend will retire from the world of pro-wrestling.
