Say 'hooray', here we have Kurt Angle's Facebook Q and A

What's the story?

A few hours ago, WWE RAW General Manager Kurt Angle did one of his regular Facebook Q and A session with fans.

In the post, Angle answered the WWE Universe's queries about multiple topics, including his WrestleMania 34 Tag-Team partner Ronda Rousey, NXT Takeover: New Orleans, The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 and a spot he had with Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 20.

In case you didn't know...

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, has always been someone to communicate with wrestling fans, letting them know what he thinks and helping them to understand things about the business that they may not have known before, from current matters to issues of old.

Angle returned to the WWE last year to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and on the RAW after WrestleMania 33, Vince McMahon made him RAW General Manager.

He had left the company back in 2006 after frustration with the company overboiled.

The heart of the matter

The 6-time WWE World Champion Kurt Angle spoke about his upcoming match at WrestleMania 34 versus Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and what he thinks about his Tag-Team partner in the bout, Ronda Rousey.

Angle praised the former UFC megastar and WWE newcomer Rousey as a 'quick learner' when it comes to the 'art of pro wrestling', and he thinks she will do better in WWE than she did in Octagon.

Angle seemed really enthusiastic about his big match at WrestleMania 34, citing the reason that 'one more' WrestleMania is all he wanted, having not wrestled on the big show in over a decade.

The Olympic Gold Medalist guarantees it won't 'disappoint':

Apart from his own match, Angle proclaimed that he wants to see title matches at WrestleMania 34 do well, such as the RAW Universal Title match between Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns, AJ Styles (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship and the IC Title bout with The Miz (c) vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor.

Angle pointed out that he is a big fan of the Viper, Randy Orton, and is therefore looking forward to his WrestleMania 34 US Title match, which will likely be a Triple Threat match involving Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode:

In regard to NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, which will take place the night before WrestleMania 34 in the Smoothie King Center, Angle remarked that he is most excited to see the NXT Championship match between Andrade 'Cien' Almas and Aleister Black.

Angle is also intrigued to see the 5-man ladder match, Adam Cole vs Lars Sullivan vs EC3 vs Ricochet vs the Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American Title, but prefers singles matches:

To a question about The Undertaker responding to John Cena's WrestleMania challenge, Angle replied by saying that he is sure that Undertaker will be at WrestleMania 34, as he 'never backs down'.

Who can forget that famous spot at WrestleMania 20 in the WWE Championship bout?

This is the spot in which Eddie Guerrero retained his title via a roll-up pin after he escaped an Angle Lock by loosening his own boot, resulting in Angle only having a grip of Guerro's boot instead of his ankle.

Angle claimed in this Q and A that Eddie Guerrero came up with the idea a week before the match when WWE was over in Japan.

Angle stated that he "absolutely loved" Mr. Lie, Cheat and Steal's plan:

A big player in WWE's Attitude Era, Ken Shamrock always captivated wrestling audiences, especially because of impressive MMA background.

Unfortunately, Angle, does not think he will ever have a match with Shamrock in a WWE ring, but he would love for it to happen as Shamrock is an "exceptional sports entertainer":

What's next?

As already noted, Kurt Angle will team with Ronda Rousey in a few weeks time, on April 8th against 14-time World Champion Triple H and RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, at WrestleMania 34 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

We will also witness various title matches on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'; Lesnar vs Reigns, Styles vs Nakamura as well as others sure to excite.

NXT: TakeOver takes place the night before, and that's when we will see Almas vs Black for the NXT Title, as well as that mouthwatering ladder match.

Author's take

As always, Angle's Q and A was really insightful.

Specifically, it is great that he chose to answer a question about NXT Takeover, and his hyping of Almas vs Black will definitely give those two guys massive confidence, and I think any match endorsed by Angle will have fans' approval.

With his consistent promise that his WrestleMania 34 match "will not disappoint", I am starting to feel really thrilled to see Angle and Rousey compete in what is sure to be a match of interest to many. Hopefully the 49-year old can showcase that he is better than ever in the squared circle.

I believe that Angle and Guerrero WrestleMania 20 match will never get the credit it deserves, and that boot Angle (pardon the pun) was classic Eddie Guerrero genius.
