What's the story?

Many of our readers have been puzzling over this. Why did Lacey Evans come out during WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 only to go back up the ramp a few minutes later?

Lacey Evans clarified this on her Twitter account. According to her, she was only taking a stroll.

In case you didn't know...

Lacey Evans was one of the NXT call-ups announced after the McMahons assumed control of RAW. She was called up along with EC3, Nikki Cross, Lars Sullivan and Heavy Machinery.

So far, it hasn't been declared which brand she will be a part of. Lacey Evans was the first person to enter the Women's Royal Rumble this year, lasting over 29 minutes. She even eliminated both of the IIconics before she was eliminated, in turn, by Charlotte Flair.

The heart of the matter

As one would expect many fans were puzzled as to why Lacey Evans came out for the strange little segment.

Some were even outraged and let their frustrations be known on Twitter before the lady of NXT replied to the rant herself:

In what was a tongue in cheek follow up, she even claimed to have been exhausted by what she did and spoke about turning in early.

It's clear that her shtick will be 'nasties', going forward, a term that describes the entire WWE Universe. Evans considers herself to be above them because she's a lady:

What's next?

I don't know how this gimmick is going to translate into a proper feud, so we'll have to wait and see what happens next.

Many have compared this current gimmick to that of Emmalina, and one hopes that Evans' run isn't as ill-fated as the Emmalina character. Which brand should she debut on, according to you, reader?
