What's the story?

WWE Superstar Lacey Evans recently took to Twitter to respond to Natalya's scathing comments geared towards her.

Evans stated that she is in WWE despite never having watched the Hart family growing up, which resulted in a Twitter war between the two women.

In case you didn't know...

Lacey Evans was one of several NXT Superstars who came up to the main roster earlier this year. She spent the next few months making random appearances and posing for the live crowd, and attacked the newly crowned Women's champion, Becky Lynch, on the Raw after WrestleMania.

Lacey Evans faced off against Natalya on this past week's Raw, in a winning effort. Natalya proceeded to post a video on Twitter, showing her delivering a thunderous slap to Evans.

The heart of the matter

The Lady of WWE wasn't one to keep shut, as she proceeded to bash the Hart Family on Twitter, adding a hashtag stating "Hart who?".

Natalya has been incredibly protective of the Hart family name in the past. She wasn't too thrilled with Evans' shot at her family, and hit back at her.

Evans went all the way with her next tweet, saying that Natalya and other female Superstars on the WWE roster have done nothing but embarrass women all across the world, calling it "evolution". Further, Lacey suggested Natalya that she should retire from professional wrestling.

Natalya's longtime partner and best friend, Beth Phoenix chimed in and took a shot at Evans' mannerisms. To this, The Lady responded by making a sarcastic comment on how she didn't consider Phoenix a WWE legend.

What's next?

As of now, The Southern Belle hasn't gotten a response from Natalya or Beth Phoenix. This Twitter war seems to have taken a "nasty turn", as Evans would like to call it. It would be interesting to see where this feud leads to for the three women.
