What’s the story?
During a recent interview with 101.1 FM The Beat, SmackDown Live superstar Lana addressed the rumors that MMA veteran Ronda Rousey could be on her way to signing with the WWE sometime in the near future. Additionally, Lana also spoke about the WWE superstars who have helped her through her journey in WWE.
In case you didn’t know…
Throughout the course of these past few months, ‘The Ravishing Russian’ has been training hard and has been wrestling on house shows in order to improve her in-ring skills. Lana is mostly known for her work as the former valet of Rusev and the 32-year-old has been sticking to that particular role, as she has formed an alliance with Tamina Snuka on SmackDown Live.
The heart of the matter
While speaking to 101.1 FM The Beat, Lana spoke about a host of topics including the Ronda Rousey rumors as well.
Lana stated that she believes Ronda Rousey entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant is definitely going to be awesome and claimed that these surprises are what make the Rumble match so exciting.
“I think it’d be great if we have her [Ronda Rousey] and anyone else who wants to make a surprise, we’re ready for that.”
Lana revealed that during her learning process in WWE, she has received a lot of help and support from some of the best and top female stars in the company today. The Ravishing Russian additionally said that former SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya has helped her a lot and claimed that she and Nattie are almost like sisters.
“She’s an incredible veteran, an incredible wrestler, and she’s always trying to help me in the ring.”
Furthermore, Lana also had praises for Naomi and Tamina too. The Total Divas star said that she is very grateful to all these women.
What’s next?
Lana’s next goal will be to put up a solid performance at the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match that takes place this Sunday in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. On the other hand, the WWE Universe should also watch out for the possible debut of Ronda Rousey.
