If you saw NXT:TakeOver The End earlier today, then you might have been completely shocked at the sight of Paul Ellering, the manager of the legendary Road Warriors, appear after a couple of monsters came to the ring to lay waste to American Alpha.
American Alpha had just lost the NXT Tag Team Championships to the Revival after a hard fought contest, and few, if any, expected to see Ellering show up at Full Sail, much less with what would seem to be a monster tag team at his heel.
He didn’t say anything after the vicious attack, but he didn’t need to. The audience at Full Sail were already vociferously booing The Authors of Pain, which is the name of the tag team, for it would seem that their point had already been made.
Ellering, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame along with the Road Warriors in 2011, is known as a legendary manager and it would certainly be intriguing to see how the role with his new charges pans out in NXT.
