WWE News: Brock Lesnar only advertised for the Raw before Survivor Series

What’s the story?

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman responded to Jinder Mahal’s challenge last week on Monday Night Raw, but the Beast Incarnate and his advocate haven't been advertised for another episode of the flagship show until the Survivor Series go-home show.

In case you didn’t know...

Lesnar’s reign as Universal Champion began back at WrestleMania 33 when he defeated Goldberg for the first time in his career. Lesnar has already defended the title against the likes of Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns. He is expected to drop the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34 to the Big Dog.

The heart of the matter

Lesnar is scheduled to face Mahal in a non-title Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series, but the Universal Champion isn’t expected back on Monday Night Raw until the last episode before Survivor Series on November 13, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia.

SmackDown invaded Raw and attacked multiple Raw superstars, but Lesnar wasn’t involved in the attack.

And with Lesnar more than likely not getting involved in the SmackDown-Raw invasion storyline, his appearance on the Raw before Survivor Series will only serve to promote his upcoming match with Jinder Mahal.

What’s next?

If Lesnar isn’t returning until the Raw before Survivor Series, then it means he won’t be involved in the invasion angle going forward. The Beast Incarnate is also yet to register a win at Survivor Series, so he still has a milestone to chase in Houston.

Author’s take

Less is always more with Brock Lesnar. Although his match with Jinder Mahal has many fans scratching their heads, it could still serve to benefit both the Modern Day Maharaja and Lesnar.
