WWE News: Lita reveals why she was not at Raw 25

WWE Hall of Famer Lita revealed that she was not on the guest list for WWE’s 25th-anniversary episode of Monday Night RAW. She did the same through a tweet from her official Twitter handle as you can see below.

In case you did not know…

The 42-year-old Lita has been associated with WWE for a long time now. She joined WWE back in 2000 after a brief stint in ECW and was involved in some iconic storylines.

After her retirement from wrestling, she appeared for WWE on various occasions. Her last major gig for WWE came in 2017 when she served as the color commentator for the Mae Young Classic tournament alongside Jim Ross.

Heart of the matter

WWE had a segment on the 25th Anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw where they honored some legendary female wrestlers. The absence of Lita, however, had puzzled the fans.

The WWE Hall of Famer then revealed on Twitter that she was not on the guest list indicating that WWE might not have invited her in the first place.

What’s next?

Lita is currently not announced for any WWE shows. However, there are rumors making rounds regarding a potential appearance from her at the Royal Rumble.

Some fans even point out that this might be the reason why WWE did not let her appear on Raw 25. It remains a rumor as of now and unless either Lita or WWE speaks further, fans are likely to be in the dark wondering what’s happening.

Author’s take

If it was indeed a case of not inviting Lita, it’s a sad scenario. Lita is one of the pioneers of Women’s Wrestling in the promotion and not having her on the show is a huge act of disrespect. But at the same time, if WWE is going to bring her for the Rumble, the absence does make sense.

We will get a better picture after Sunday night and if Lita doesn’t show up at the Rumble, then WWE should prepare themselves with an apology.
