What’s the story?

As confirmed by WWE.com, multi-platinum hip-hop artist Machine Gun Kelly will be performing at this year’s Tribute To The Troops special.

In case you didn’t know...

Kelly, 27, has made a few appearances in the world of professional wrestling – with one of the latest coming back in June 2015 when he was power bombed off the stage by Kevin Owens following a performance on Monday Night Raw.

The heart of the matter

The announcement from WWE comes after Kelly himself spoke about the news over Twitter, with the WWE.com article also featuring an interview with himself and Renee Young. During the chat, he commented on what would happen this time around if Owens were to confront him once again.

What’s next?

The event will take place on Thursday, December 14th at Naval Base San Diego, where it will also air on the USA Network.

Author’s take

Machine Gun Kelly is one of the more interesting celebrity performers of the last few years, with one of the main reasons being his ‘relationship’ with Kevin Owens. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle that at the show, but either way, it’s nice to see that WWE still has some contacts in pop culture.
