WWE News: Major feud for Braun Strowman revealed
In August of 2015, Braun Strowman made his main roster debut by becoming the newest member of the Wyatt Family. At the time, the faction needed a fourth member, since Erick Rowan was out with injury. He immediately made an impact, assisting Wyatt and Harper in their feud with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. It did not take much to sell him as an enforcer of the group since his size is incredibly intimidating.
Recently, after months of defeating jobbers, it finally appears as if he will have a major feud to put him over. According to LordsofPain, that feud will be against the Big Show. At a recent live event in Oberhausen, Germany, the two competed in a body slam contest, in which Strowman won.
Strowman and Big Show were involved in a tag team feud earlier this year, as Wyatt Family members Strowman, Harper, and Rowan competed against Big Show, Kane, and Ryback. This feud culminated at the Fastlane pay per view, in which the Wyatt Family were defeated.
Big Show and Strowman competed against each other in a singles match on the February 15, 2016 episode of Raw, in which Big Show won by disqualification.
In July, Strowman was drafted away from the other Wyatt Family members to officially start a solo career on the main roster for the Raw brand. Since then, Strowman has been spending nearly every week competing against enhancement talent to make himself look more like a monster. Finally, a few weeks ago, he demanded competition from General Manager Mick Foley. During one segment where he threatened Foley, out comes Sami Zayn.
Since Strowman is now a member of the Survivor Series Team Raw, and Sami Zayn defeated Rusev to represent Raw at Survivor Series to compete against Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, it appears as it that feud has been cut short.
Thankfully, Strowman will finally have some competition other than the jobbers he has been facing. The weekly segments have lost its potency, and a conclusion to them have been long overdue. Feuding with someone like the Big Show can give Strowman more steam as a monster heel leading to the bigger events such as Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
Ideally, Strowman can feud with Big Show for the rest of the year and have an impressive showing in the Royal Rumble match, which could set up for a marquee match at WrestleMania.
Could that match be The Undertaker? We shall see.
