WWE News: Marty Jannetty in hot water over possible incestuous comments

What did he s

What did he say? Seriously?

What's the story?

Marty Jannetty was a fan favorite during his time as a member of The Rockers. But since his departure from the mainstream pro wrestling scene, he's gone through his fair share of misadventures. Now a recent Facebook post is getting him a considerable amount of heat from more than just the world of pro wrestling.

In case you didn't know...

Marty Jannetty is quite a character. As a member of The Rockers, he and Shawn Michaels dazzled fans all over. Although they never picked up the WWF Tag Team Championships they were still a huge babyface team.

Some people actually preferred Jannetty to Michaels, especially after The Heartbreak Kid tossed Jannetty through the glass window of Brutus The Barber Beefcake's Barber Shop.

The heart of the matter

Coming off of his run as 1/2 of The Rockers, Marty Jannetty had a very promising career ahead of him but the age-old tale of "personal demons" got in his way.

Jannetty found out he might have had a daughter in 2014 and since then promised to clean up his ways. But Marty Jannetty posted a rather concerning Facebook update in late August about his non-biological daughter, Bianca.

Marty Jannetty has since deleted his Facebook message but plenty of people were able to save the image and content of his message which said:

"If you loves me as much as I loves you, you will give your opinion,,just did DNA (2 weeks ago)..she's NOT my daughter..we both held out of sex because you don't do that..but now that we ain't???? From a guys side.. SHES F*CKN HOTT..but..she's been daughter.. I want to too, but can't get past that.."
<p>

What's next?

Hopefully, Jannetty can learn how to tame his social media activity. Things like this can really get out of hand in this day and age. He could have been kidding, but is this really something to joke about? If you add in the content of this message it makes it even more of an egregious faux pas.

Author's take

This was not a subject I ever intended on covering. I've known about this since he posted it and tried my best to ignore it. But since The New York Post covered the story it jump-started this as greater than something we'd rather sweep under the rug as pro wrestling fans.

This kind of thing might not need a microscope on it because it's not a very positive subject to cover. It's also not a very good representation of the pro wrestling business in the mainstream media because what Jannetty said was awful, confounding, and outrageous.

After all, incest isn't approved by too many people in 2017. But hopefully, Jannetty can learn to do a little bit of proofreading and consideration before the next time he posts something on social media.
