What’s the Story?

Following one of the biggest matches in Roman Reigns career, The Miz and Reigns will kick off Monday Night Raw with a MizTV segment.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Reigns defeated John Cena at the No Mercy pay-per-view after kicking out of 4 Attitude Adjustments and enduring the STF. The match came to an end when Reigns hit a Superman Punch and a second Spear on Cena to get the pinfall.

After the match ended, both men shook hands and Cena raised Reigns hand as if to give his blessing; similarly, to how The Rock shook rose Cena’s hands in the air after their match at WrestleMania 29.

The Heart of the Matter

After the Reigns and Cena match, The Miz pitched his idea regarding the MizTV interview with Reigns about his big victory, but also mentioned a reunion with his “former buddies.”

James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet said that the WWE was planning to reunite The Shield at the TLC pay-per-view and these words from The Miz all but confirm this angle as a future angle.

Since The Miz is the one interviewing Reigns, there is a chance that this Shield reunion could occur as Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose up agains The Miztourage.

What’s Next?

Tune in to Monday Night Raw to see what goes down between Reigns and his former Shield brethren.

If the Shield reunion will be in the form of a match at TLC, then the WWE will definitely need to start the storyline now so they can have plenty of time to use the possibility of a reunited Shield to sell the TLC pay-per-view.

Author’s Take

With The Shield reunion clearly being teased for the future, the possibilities are endless for what 6-man tag team matches we’ll see in the future.
