Some familiar faces are appearing next week

What's the story?

WWE presents their 25th Anniversary next week with a special edition of Monday Night Raw that will feature some of the biggest legends of the past two and a half decades and it seems that some of the icons of the Women's Division will now be getting in on the action.

In case you didn't know...

Many legendary names have already been announced for the show including Jim Ross, The Undertaker, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, The Rock (via satellite) and what is a Raw Anniversary show without Steve Austin?

With the women of WWE currently heading towards one of their most historic matches, it seems that many of the women that are appearing on next week's show could be there to announce that they will be participating in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble.

There have already been 16 ladies announced for the Rumble and it seems that Molly Holly is already announced as well even though she hasn't officially been confirmed by WWE.

The Bella Twins were already announced for Raw's 25th Anniversary show, but it seems that they will be joined by a Hall of Famer and number of other women who have shaped Raw over the past two decades.

The heart of the matter

WWE announced a number of female guests for next week's episode of Raw which include WWE Hall of Famer Jacqueline, former Divas Champions Michelle McCool and Kelly Kelly, Terri Runnels, Torrie Wilson and Maria Kanellis, who is currently on maternity leave.

It seems that many of these women have made a difference in WWE over the past few years and are finally being acknowledged, whilst others will be in attendance to confirm that they will make up the numbers on January 28th.

What's next?

The 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw takes place in a week's time and will probably one of the highest rated shows of Raw in a very a long time. WWE definitely knows how to celebrate and it is perfect that it is just a week away from The Rumble.

Author's take

The women of WWE over the past few years have as much right to be part of the show as the men. These women paved the way for was to come and it's fantastic that they will be part of the show. It looks like it is going to be an interesting two weeks ahead with some known faces expected to show up.
