You’re going to need it.— Kevin Owens (@FightOwensFight) October 29, 2017One’s true nature is seen when they feel there are no consequences. Ones true character is seen when those consequences inevitably show up.— Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe) October 30, 2017In case you didn't know...The WWE announced the release of three wrestlers on Sunday afternoon with Emma being the most prominent in terms of her recent role within the company. The other two wrestlers, Summer Rae and Darren Young, were working their way back from major injuries. The heart of the matterWhile some directly responded to Lio Rush, others like Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe did not, but it was clear what they were referencing. The fact that this reached so many people within the industry will probably lead to some heat with management in the short-term.There were very few people defending Lio Rush, especially those famous within the wrestling industry, but Mick Foley did post a tweet asking people to move on from the situation:Maybe we should cut @itsLioRush some slack. He made a mistake. He feels terrible about it. He sincerely apologized. He's human. Thanks.— Mick Foley (@RealMickFoley) October 29, 2017It didn't make the situation any easier when Emma posted the following as her first tweet since the news of her release broke:?— EMMA (@EmmaWWE) October 29, 2017What's next?Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for any further information on the matter. I expect there wouldn't be any disciplinary action taken against Rush outside of being held off television for a while.Author's takeRush knows by now what he did is one of the worst things you can do in the wrestling industry, make light of someone losing their job. He's very young and is in for some very awkward moments in the near future within the NXT locker room, but hopefully, he can learn from this and be more professional going forward.Rush is very talented and has moved through the ranks rapidly. Sometimes when you get so far so quick, you think you're bulletproof. This dose of reality will bring him back down to earth and hopefully he can move on in a positive direction because he has a very bright future.
