What’s the story?

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Naomi opened up on a myriad of topics.

Naomi revealed that she’d love to see the WWE introduce Tag Team Titles in the Women’s Division, and also expressed her excitement on teaming up with her husband Jimmy Uso for the MMC tournament. Besides, Naomi also addressed her 2017 feud with Charlotte Flair.

In case you didn’t know…

Naomi has previously held the SmackDown Women’s Championship, however, has lately been relegated to the mid-card of the blue brand’s Women’s Division.

During her reign as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Naomi was involved in a feud with Charlotte Flair—with a better part of the rivalry featuring interferences from the ‘Welcoming Committee’ (Natalya, Tamina, Lana, Carmella & James Ellsworth).

The heart of the matter

On WWE possibly introducing Women’s Tag Titles, Naomi elucidated that it’d be awesome, and more female Superstars could get involved in the WWE’s storylines. She added that having been married to one of the greatest Tag Team Champions of all time—Jimmy Uso—she’d have no shortage of help and support as far as Tag Team competition goes.

Additionally, on teaming with her husband for the WWE Mixed Match Challenge (MMC), Naomi explained that she and Jimmy have been doing this together for eight years, and have the best chemistry of all teams in the tournament. The Glow Factor continued that her presence, speed and speaking have all improved and she is where she is right now because of Jimmy Uso. Naomi also spoke about feuding with Charlotte Flair—

"I never got to face Charlotte how I wanted to. I feel like I haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg with Charlotte."

What’s next?

Naomi and several other female WWE Superstars from both the RAW and SmackDown brands are set to compete in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble Match which takes place at the Royal Rumble PPV on January 28th.

Author’s take

Naomi truly has come a long way since her days as a Funkadactyl with Brodus Clay.

Honestly speaking, it’d be great to see the WWE introduce Tag Titles for the Women’s Division, however, speaking of teams, Naomi and Jimmy Uso would indeed be the favourites to win the MMC tournament.
