WWE News: Naomi says she plans to do a shuffle dance entrance in the near future

Naomi has been making some spectacular entrances of late

What’s the story?

SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi was recently interviewed by Fox Sports where she discussed her intention to make a shuffle dance entrance.

In case you didn’t know…

Naomi won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time after defeating Alexa Bliss at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view earlier this year. However, she was forced to relinquish the title on the following episode of SmackDown Live due to an injury during the match.

On the episode before WrestleMania, the 29-year old returned and announced her entry into the title match at the WM 33. The grandest event on the WWE calendar took place in Naomi’s hometown of Orlando this year and saw her win a six-pack challenge match to regain the SD Women’s Championship.

The heart of the matter

Speaking about her unique entrance, Naomi said that she likes to change it every time so that it remains fresh. According to her, doing something different during each entrance ensures that things don’t get old. The 2-time SmackDown Women’s Champion stated:

“Changing the entrance and just doing something different every time, I think it keeps it fresh for everyone. I think it just keeps it new and something different. every time that I come out, and I don’t want it to get old.”

Naomi revealed that she has been learning how to shuffle dance at present and wants to implement it in her entrance in the near future. This is what she told Fox Sports:

“What I have been learning… I’ve been trying to learn how to shuffle dance. It looks easy, but it’s a lot harder than it looks. That’s what I’m working on next, I want to come out with a cool shuffle dance routine.”

What next?

Naomi’s title defence against Charlotte Flair on the most recent episode of SmackDown Live was interrupted by Natalya, Carmella and Tamina as the trio attacked both the champion and the challenger. It will be interesting to see if Naomi and Flair will join forces against the common enemy on this week’s show.

Author’s take

While it is a good thing that Naomi is looking to add something new to her entrances in order to please the fans, she needs to be on top of her wrestling skills, too, considering the increased level of competition in the SmackDown women’s division.
