What’s the story?

Naomi has taken to social media so as to shut down a racist fan.

Apparently, a Twitter user mouthed racist profanities against Naomi—something that she has now shed light upon. Besides, Naomi also encouraged people to stand up against racism and bullying of any form.

In case you didn’t know…

Naomi has performed for the WWE since 2009 and is a former SmackDown Women’s Champion.

The 30-year-old SmackDown Live Superstar won the inaugural WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34 earlier this month.

The heart of the matter

Apparently, a Twitter user issued a racist comment against Naomi on a Tweet sent out by WWE regarding her & Natalya.

Additionally, the fan followed up on his initial racist comment, by making a few more disparaging remarks. Here are a few excerpts of the comments made by the fan who goes by the name “TJ Killashaw”—

“Shitty monkey”…”Oh my god another monkey talking!”…”America is not your country, africa is”.

Regardless, Naomi brought the aforementioned fan to the notice of others, by posting screenshots of his racist remarks.

“The Glow Factor” then went on to explain that she deals with such racism on a daily basis; besides encouraging fans to fight against racism & bullying. Here’s what Naomi had to say—

“I deal with negativity and racism like this on a daily basis but I don’t allow it to bring me down I encourage others who are experiencing the same or any type of bullying to be strong stay positive & not let the actions of others change who you are #feeltheglow”

What’s next?

Naomi presently performs for the WWE’s SmackDown Live brand.

Experts believe that the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion is likely to continue being featured as one of the top Superstars in the Women’s Division in the days to come.

Author’s take

Kudos to Naomi for standing up to the keyboard warrior who seems to be using the social media platform to propagate racism.

Here’s hoping Naomi goes on ascending to greater heights of success in WWE, which—considering her extraordinary talent—is just a matter of time.
