What's the story?

In an interview with The New York Post, WWE Superstar Natalya opened up on when her close friend Ronda Rousey could potentially return to the WWE.

Natalya asserted that she speaks to Rousey "all the time", and that the latter truly misses the WWE. Besides, Nattie opened up about their grueling RAW Women's Title match which took place on December 24th, 2018.

In case you didn't know...

Ronda Rousey made her official debut as a WWE Superstar in January of 2018, and went on to capture the RAW Women's Championship.

Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair became the first women to headline WrestleMania, as the trio competed in the main event of WrestleMania 35 in April of this year, with Lynch winning the matchup and capturing the RAW as well as SmackDown Women's Titles.

The heart of the matter

Subsequently, Ronda Rousey stepped away from the ring, citing the fact that she aims to start a family with her husband Travis Browne.

Addressing Rousey's aforementioned WWE hiatus, Natalya said that she believes Rousey misses the WWE a lot, and that the latter fell in love with professional wrestling to a far greater level than what she had probably expected.

However, Natalya added that Rousey is currently focused on starting a family with her husband, and when "The Rowdy One" gives her word, she keeps it. Natalya said:

"So I believe that that right now is her main focus, but I also think she still has a lot of unfinished business is WWE and so, for me, because she kind of fell in love with it more than she even realized she would, I think she'll be back, but it's all about timing and I just think her family is coming first right now and I think every woman can relate to that."

Furthermore, Natalya recalled their match that took place on December 24th, 2018 -- emphasizing that while they'd usually have practices and rehearsals for their matches, they called their match on the go that night.

Moreover, Natalya explained that they wrestled their hearts out that night, and Rousey proved that she does indeed belong in the pro wrestling industry.

What's next?

Ronda Rousey is presently on a hiatus from the sport of professional wrestling, whereas Natalya is all set to challenge Becky Lynch for the latter's RAW Women's Title at WWE SummerSlam this August 11th.
