Who will walk out of Philly with a ticket to WrestleMania 34?

What’s the story?

As per Paddy Power, rumoured surprise entrant Ronda Rousey is now the bookmakers’ favourite to win the first ever 30-woman Royal Rumble this Sunday.

In case you didn’t know...

For months now, Asuka has been the front-runner when it comes to who will reign supreme in the first-ever women’s Rumble match, but now, it appears as if the tide has turned.

The heart of the matter

Rousey’s odds of 11/8 haven’t changed all too much, but it’s just enough to put her ahead of Asuka at 6/4. Becky Lynch is the third favourite at 6/1, meanwhile, Nia Jax and Nikki Bella round out the top five.

The list below includes some fascinating potential surprise entrants, with Nikki Bella & Beth Phoenix being two names in particular that fans want to see.

When you also include several NXT stars who could choose to make a name for themselves, there's a whole host of possibilities.

What’s next?

The Royal Rumble pay per view will take place this Sunday in Philadelphia, where we’ll finally discover whether or not Ronda Rousey will indeed be making the jump to WWE in time for WrestleMania 34.

Plus, we'll also see just how many superstars from the past decide to return in comparison to how many full-time members of the roster appear in the match.

Author’s take

Many fans aren’t going to be happy with Rousey being the new favourite, but as we all know, the odds do tend to go back and forth in the lead-up to an event as big as the Rumble. In our opinion, Ronda’s presence will only help in putting more of a spotlight on his historic match.

One thing is for sure, this is going to be a can't miss occasion for the WWE Universe.
