Ever since WWE came up with their own version of Bullet Club, NJPW’s foremost heels have made slight hints and teased a potential match with WWE’s New Day. Both stables are incredibly popular among the fans and New Day vs Bullet Club is sort of becoming a dream match for the fans. Bullet Club member Kenny Omega is a good friend of Xavier Woods and has even appeared in Wood's UpUpDownDown YouTube show.
We recently got a little taste of s potential New Day-Bullet Club matchup, albeit a different one than we are hoping for. Kenny Omega squared off against Xavier Woods at the CEO 2016 Fighting Game Championships. Omega defeated Woods at Street Fighter V leading a bitter Xavier to congratulate and raise Omega’s hand. Woods even went on to say the following to Omega after the game.
"While I might personally despise you and everything you stand for, As a man, I respect you. And on this day in Street Fighter V, you were better than me."
This friendly rivalry between WWE’s New Day and NJPW’s Bullet Club is beginning to hook in fans all around the globe. Who knows, we might even get a one-off exhibition match if both WWE and NJPW come to terms regarding it. Until then, watch them square off against each other in the below video.
