We have new NXT UK Tag Team Champions that were crowned tonight at Takeover.

What's the story

Tonight at NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool, we had the finals of the UK Tag Team Title tournament take place between Moustache Mountain, Zack Gibson and James Drake. This was the opening match for tonight's show and it was quite a doozy to watch. Lots of thrilling action that would leave your jaw hitting the floor.

In case you didn't know...

In the lead up to tonight's big championship encounter, we had Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and Tyler Bate) defeat Gallus (Wolfgang and Mark Coffey) in the semifinals to advance, while we saw Zack Gibson and Jame Drake defeat the team of Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews to advance.

This set up the finals for tonight's broadcast, as it was anticipated that we would see Moustache Mountain walk away as the new champions. However, that was not to be the case, as the underdogs would take away the victory tonight.

The heart of the matter

In a match that featured various high spots, smash-mouth, hard-hitting action and even some color (blood), as Trent Seven was busted wide open following an elbow shot to the back of his head, along with an Electric Chair/Suicide Dive combo out to the floor that saw Tyler Bate take a sweet but nasty bump on the floor. In the end, it was James Drake and Zack Gibson who walked away victorious as your newly crowned NXT UK Tag Team Champions!

What's next

Congratulations are in order for your new NXT UK Tag Team Champions, Zack Gibson and James Drake.
