What’s the story?

Ahead of WWE RAW tonight, American rock band Papa Roach has revealed the new WWE RAW intro on Twitter.

In case you didn’t know...

Papa Roach are no strangers to WWE, in fact, WWE RAW in particular. The bands 2006 hit '... To Be Loved', served as the main intro theme for WWE RAW from October 9, 2006, to November 9, 2009. They were also shown sitting in the front row on the same first episode of RAW it was used for.

The heart of the matter

The song being used is called 'Born For Greatness'. It is the third single from the band's eighth studio album, 'Crooked Teeth'. The song has proven to be quite popular, as it reached the number #1 position on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart.

Ahead of tonight's WWE RAW, Papa Roach revealed the intro video on their official Twitter account earlier today. The band commented on it by saying:

What’s next?

The new intro is likely to debut at the beginning of tonight's show, maybe that is why the band revealed it today.

WWE may already have to make an edit to the video as WWE Women's Royal Rumble winner Asuka is shown in the video. Asuka made the jump from RAW to SmackDown during this past Sunday's WWE Fastlane event.

Author’s take

It is a pretty good song, in my opinion, at least it is not as good as '... To Be Loved', and I was also a big fan of the previous theme, 'Enemies' by Shinedown, but 'Born For Greatness' is still a good one nonetheless.
