In case you didn’t know…

The WWE has teamed up with Facebook in order to bring fans a unique tournament—the WWE Mixed Match Challenge (MMC).

Multiple teams—each comprising a male & female Superstar—shall compete against rival teams, with the winning team receiving $100,000 as prize money, which will be donated to a charity of their choice.

The heart of the matter

While Nia Jax initially seemed excited as to who she’ll be teaming up with for the MMC, as soon as Apollo Crews was announced as her partner, Jax seemed put off as all of ‘Titus Worldwide’ (Titus O’Neill, Crews & Dana Brooke) broke onto the scene and started hyping the team.

On the other hand, SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan pranked Jimmy Uso who entered the room, saw the lights dim, and his wife Naomi’s music hit. However, upon hugging the person with the glowing scarf, Jimmy discovered that it was indeed Bryan and not Naomi.

Nevertheless, Naomi did appear at the scene, upon which the couple embraced and asserted that they are going to topple everyone else and win the MMC.

What’s next?

The WWE MMC airs live on Facebook Watch from January 16th 10 pm E onwards.

Other teams announced for the MMC thus far are Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss, Bobby Roode & Charlotte Flair, Finn Balor & Sasha Banks, Rusev & Lana, Jimmy Uso & Naomi, and Nia Jax & Apollo Crews.

Author’s take

Well, Nia Jax seems to be a silent-destroyer as opposed to Apollo Crews and ‘Titus Worldwide’ who seem to hype themselves and their co-performers up to the moon.

On the other hand, Daniel Bryan’s sense of humour never ceases to amaze. In case you’re yet to watch him prank Jimmy Uso, please go ahead and watch the video.
