What’s the story?

While recently speaking with Dave LaGreca and Mark Henry on Busted Open, WWE Raw superstar Nia Jax gave her thoughts on Ronda Rousey signing with the WWE and being excited about Rousey’s upcoming in-ring WWE debut.

In case you didn’t know...

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and MMA veteran Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view when she made a surprise appearance and confronted Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair, and Asuka, who had just won the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match.

The heart of the matter

During her interaction with Dave LaGreca and former WWE World Champion Mark Henry on Busted Open, Nia Jax stated that she is excited about ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut and claimed that the former UFC Bantamweight Champion was a huge part of the Women’s Revolution throughout the entire world and part of the WWE. Jax said, Rousey is one of the most talented women in the world today and will bring a lot to the table for the rest of the women in the WWE and her influence in the WWE is definitely going to expand the women's division.

“She's willing to put in the hard work. I've seen her put in the hard work in the UFC and how hard she worked to get to where she got. I know she's going to prove herself in the WWE. I'm very excited to step in the ring with her and see what we can do together.”- Nia Jax added.

What’s next?

At the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Nia Jax will go toe-to-toe with “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka and in singles competition and if Jax does manage to defeat Asuka this time, she will be slated to get a shot at the Raw Women’s Title at Wrestlemania 34.

Meanwhile, Ronda Rousey will also sign her in-ring contract with the WWE during the Elimination Chamber PPV, this Sunday in Las Vegas.

Author’s Take

Personally, I think that Ronda Rousey’s journey in the WWE will be somewhat similar to that of “The Beast” Brock Lesnar and I am also excited to see what the former UFC star brings to the table once she finally signs her in-ring contract.
