What’s the story?

Nia Jax has weighed in on the upcoming Women’s Elimination Chamber Match.

Expounding on the same, Jax asserted that whoever emerges as the RAW Women’s Champion after the Elimination Chamber shall face Jax at WrestleMania.

In case you didn’t know…

Nia Jax is widely regarded as one of the most dominant WWE Superstars today.

Jax has been running roughshod in the WWE RAW Women’s Division over the past several months. However, a reign as the red brand’s Women’s Champion has evaded her owing to her coming up short in title matches on a few occasions in the past.

The heart of the matter

In a video sent out by the WWE, Nia Jax can be seen putting forth a stern message to the participants of the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match. Below is her statement regarding the same—

“All these girls are talking about how they’re gonna make history in the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match—it’s gonna be their dream to win the RAW Women’s Championship (at the Elimination Chamber) and get a spot at WrestleMania (34).”
“But what they don’t know is that their dream is gonna soon turn into a nightmare, because they’re gonna be standing across the ring at WrestleMania, from me!”

Furthermore, the video also showed Jax hitting Bayley with a Samoan Drop at a recent WWE live event.

What’s next?

The first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match takes place at the WWE’s RAW-branded Elimination Chamber PPV which airs from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada on 25 February.

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Sasha Banks & Mickie James are set to compete in the aforementioned matchup.

Meanwhile, Nia Jax faces Asuka in a No. 1 contender match at the Elimination Chamber PPV to determine who challenges for the RAW Women’s title at WrestleMania 34 in April.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, Nia Jax may very well be one of, if not the most underappreciated talents today. Jax has improved leaps and bounds, and it’s high time that she captures the RAW Women’s Championship. However, in order to get a title shot at WrestleMania, she first faces the mountainous task of besting the undefeated Japanese phenomenon Asuka.
