What's the story?
Nia Jax has been out of action for a long time with two ACL tears in both knees. The Irresistible Force is working extremely hard to come back to the ring and pick up where she had left off before.
And from Nia Jax's latest post on Twitter, it looks like she is now one step closer to making her in-ring return!
In case you didn't know...
Nia Jax suffered a painful ACL tear to both knees following her match at WrestleMania 35, last April. The injury required for Nia Jax to have surgery on both knees, which sidelined her from the ring for quite some time. She was previously teaming with Tamina Snuka, challenging then WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Bayley and Sasha Banks but they failed to capture the titles.
The Iiconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay) would defeat Bayley and Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka, and Beth Phoenix and Natalya in a Fatal 4-Way match at WrestleMania 35.
The heart of the matter
Nia Jax posted an update on her Twitter account, as shown below, detailing her gruelling training to come back to the ring. Love or hate her, you have to admire Nia's determination and courage to come back from a painful injury.
"Been busy working 10 pounds for reps. 2 and a half months post double ACL surgery."
What's next?
Nia Jax is expected to be returning to the ring soon. As you can see, Nia has worked hard to overcome her knee injuries. A potential showdown between Randy Orton and Nia Jax would make a perfect intergender storyline, based on the events that occurred at the Royal Rumble in January.
