What's the story?

There's been a lot of rumblings around Nia Jax's incident with R-Truth at the Royal Rumble. Or at least, there's been talks of an incident between them. However, Nia Jax posted a few stories on her Instagram of a backstage "confrontation" between her and R-Truth after the Royal Rumble

In case you didn't know...

R-Truth had claimed his spot as the final entrant of the Royal Rumble 2019 Men's match after winning the Mixed Match Challenge with Carmella. However, as Truth made his way out, he was attacked by Nia Jax, who took his place and became only the fourth woman to ever enter a Men's Royal Rumble match.

There were reports soon afterward that Nia Jax legitimately injured R-Truth in the segment. There was a lot of outrage because Nia Jax had previously legitimately injured Becky Lynch prior to Survivor Series last year.

There was a lot of speculation as well, but it didn't work out too bad for R-Truth because he ended up winning the United States Championship just two days after.

The heart of the matter

Nia Jax posted an Instagram story, with 3 photos showing her backstage "confrontation" with R-Truth. The reality is that there was no actual heat at all. Even if Nia did go to check on Truth afterward in the event of a botch, the now-United States Champion hugged it out with The Irresistible Force.

So, there go all the rumours of backstage heat. Unfortunately, we're quite quick to react at times. Even if there was a botch or a legitimate hit by Nia Jax, R-Truth seems to have taken no time to forgive her for it.

It's possibly one of the reasons why R-Truth is such a respected veteran backstage.

What's next?

Nia Jax continues her road to WrestleMania as she tries to win the new Women's tag team championship at Elimination Chamber. R-Truth has to set his sights on being a fighting United States Champion.
