What's the story?

Almost every week, a story emerges that this wrestler wants a match with that wrestler. And with WrestleMania season heating up, Keith Lee has stated that he wants a match with the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

Ringsidenews.com reported that Lee expressed his desire to face The Beast on Twitter, at the conclusion of Lesnar's match with Balor.

In case you missed it . . .

Brock Lesnar retained the Universal Championship against Finn Balor at the Royal Rumble. He may hold the title until WrestleMania 35, which may in fact be his next match in WWE.

Keith Lee was taking the independent wrestling scene by storm before being signed for NXT. He is still new to the Yellow Brand, but has already become one of the favorites of the crowd at the Full Sail University.

His size, speed and athleticism could certainly rival the current Universal Champion should the two ever meet.

The heart of the matter

Ringsidenews.com reported Lee's tweet stating his desire to one day have a match with Brock Lesnar.

Lee did not have a match at NXT Takeover: Phoenix but was part of the reason why Matt Riddle and Kassius Ohno faced off for a third time.

While a match with Lesnar in the near future is unlikely due to each man being on different brands and each following extremely different schedules, anything could happen in the next two years should Lesnar stay with WWE in some capacity.

The report also mentioned that a potential match between the two behemoths might excite fans as some have responded to Lee's tweet favorably regarding a future match while others just fear that Lee would simply be fed to Lesnar.

What's next?

Lee and Lesnar won't sniff each other for at least a couple years. Lee is still relatively new to NXT and might be pegged for bigger things down there instead of instantly jumping to the main roster.

Lesnar might head for another UFC Heavyweight Championship fight rather than stick around in WWE.

Lesnar is slated for a big title defense at WrestleMania 35 and has started the process to once again fight for the UFC.

The Beast will likely continue to play the WWE and the UFC against each other in order to make more money and put himself in the best possible position.

A match between Lesnar and Lee would be a great showdown between two extremely physical, big men. Lee is nicknamed 'Limitless' for a reason, but anything involving these two is a far away from happening.
