WWE News: NXT superstar returns at WWE Live Event
What's the story?
Monsters are real, and they're unperturbed by injuries. Lars Sullivan, who had been sidelined due to a reported injury returned to action at an NXT Live Event in Dade City.
Sullivan took on the monstrous Babatunde Aiyegbusi. He won the match with the utmost ease in all of three minutes.
In case you didn't know...
We had recently reported why Sullivan's programs were dropped out of the blue, even though he was an integral part of NXT's storylines. The reason for the same is that Sullivan was sidelined with an injury.
Therefore his programs with Roderick Strong and Killian Dain never came to pass. In fact, he was last seen in early January, during an NXT taping and never since.
Various rumours had emerged like he would be brought up for the Royal Rumble match. They were rumours and little more.
The heart of the matter
The monstrous WWE superstar returned to action at a Live Event, where former football player Babatunde Aiyegbusi was cutting a promo on how much he hated Dade City. Lars Sullivan stepped up and took on this 6-foot-10-inch, 350 lbs. monster.
The result was a foregone conclusion. Despite his size and bulk, Aiyegbusi could not take on Sullivan and succumbed to the Freak Accident almost immediately.
Nobody who was present made any mention of Sullivan's injury or health issues, implying that he's back at full health.
It remains to be seen what role he will play, heading into WrestleMania 34 weekend.
Lars Sullivan was an integral component of NXT programming before he was injured. We expect him to revel in that role, upon his return. Be prepared, for things are about to get freaky!
Lars Sullivan has the look and the physique to be a real breakout star. I cannot wait for him to get back into the fray, and destroy almost everything in his path.
I am certain that, one day, Lars Sullivan is destined to be a big star in the main roster as well.
