What's the story?

This past Friday night in Jacksonville, Florida, NXT Superstar Riddick Moss finally made his highly anticipated return to WWE NXT after being sidelined for the past few months due to a torn achilles heel.

In case you didn't know...

Riddick Moss first signed a developmental deal with the WWE in early 2014, and began training at the Performance Center before making his NXT debut later that same year at a Live Event in Tampa, Florida.

He made his televised debut on the 27 May 2015 episode of NXT, working as an enhancement talent alongside Elias Samson in a defeat to the duo of Blake and Murphy.

Earlier this year in May, Moss tore his achilles tendon, and would subsequently undergo successful surgery, eventually forcing him to stick to the sidelines for a while.

The heart of the matter

As seen this past week in Jacksonville, Florida, Riddick Moss made a full recovery after suffering a tear in his achilles heel several months ago. It was initially expected that Moss would be out of in-ring competition for a total of 8 months, however the 29-year-old made his return just after spending five short months out on the sidelines.

Upon his return to NXT, Moss attacked NXT's newest signing, Matt Riddle, while 'The Bro' was cutting a promo. This eventually led to a match between the two men later that night, and despite an outside interference from Kassius Ohno, Riddle successfully managed to win the match via his bromission submission, making Moss tap out on his first night back.

Moss furthermore even tweeted about his return, claiming that his return has been faster than any athlete's return on any sport ever.

What's next?

Riddick Moss is now likely to get a push as a singles superstar once he officially returns to NXT TV. A feud with Matt Riddle could very well be on the cards for Moss, as he made his return to TV by attacking 'The King of Bros'.
