What's the story?

WWE has just announced that Sasha Banks has been medically cleared to compete at the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2019 PPV.

In case you didn't know...

Banks reportedly suffered a shoulder injury at Royal Rumble that avoided her from taking a lot of punishment in the subsequent weeks on Raw. The multiple-time Women's Champion was protected on the Raw episodes after the Rumble, however, her injury was aggravated on the latest edition of WWE's flagship show after she was brutally thrown into the barricade.

The fans were genuinely concerned about her status for Elimination Chamber after Banks was helped out of the arena. There's no need to panic, though, as WWE has released an updated statement confirming her availability for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match.

The heart of the matter

WWE put out the following update on their website regarding Banks' status for the PPV:

After undergoing additional rehabilitation on her injured shoulder, Sasha Banks has been cleared to compete in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match this Sunday.

Ardent fans of the Boss can breathe easy now as she will be teaming up with Bayley in the match to crown the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

What's next?

In addition to the Boss 'N' Hug Connection, the tag team titles match will also feature the teams of Nia Jax & Tamina, The Riott Squad, Carmella & Naomi, The IIconics and Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville.

Unsurprisingly enough, Bayley and Banks are the odds on favorites to walk out of the PPV as the inaugural champions. The card will be headlined by the WWE Championship match inside the Elimination Chamber in which Daniel Bryan will put the title on the line against Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, and AJ Styles.
