WWE News: Opening segment for the next episode of Monday Night Raw revealed

Monday Night Raw
Monday Night Raw is fast approaching the 25th anniversary of the debut of the program...

What's the story?

The WWE announced through various platforms regarding the segment will kick off Monday Night Raw on November 6th.

Raw General Manager Kurt Angle will be the guest on Miz TV to start the show this Monday.

In case you didn't know...

The Miz actually started Miz TV in the developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2006. The following spring in 2007, Miz TV would make its debut on the main roster during an episode of SmackDown.

The heart of the matter

The conflict between Angle and Miz grows in intensity ever since Angle became General Manager in April. Miz claims that Angle keeps trying to steal the spotlight from him, especially when he joined The Shield at WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs in the 5-on-3 handicap match when Roman Reigns was too ill to compete.

Recently, The Miz tried to leave Monday Night Raw early to avoid the wrath of Braun Strowman, but Angle put a stop to it and made him and The Miztourage stay for the entire show. Angle's dictate ultimately led to the attack by Strowman last week.

It is unknown what direction the segment will go, but expect a lot of tense moments considering the two sides are far from getting along.

What's next?

Survivor Series takes place on November 19th live from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Kurt Angle will captain the Raw team against Shane McMahon's SmackDown Live team in a traditional 5-on-5 elimination match; while the WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz will take on WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin in an inter-brand match.

Author's take

I'm going to assume that Miz wants Angle on Miz TV this week to answer for Braun Strowman's actions at the end of last week's edition of Raw.

It would be very interesting if this segment ends up with Angle forcing The Miz to take on Braun Strowman for his WWE Intercontinental Championship.
