What's the story?

Some big news coming out of NXT UK today, as the WWE has officially announced a brand new performance center will be opening up for future UK stars to train, brush up on their in-ring skills and take the next big step in becoming a future NXT UK and/or WWE Superstar!

In case you didn't know...

NXT UK has been a major success for the WWE over the course of 2018. With top stars such as WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, along with Noam Dar, Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, The Coffey Brothers, and many others leading the way, there is a very bright future ahead of this brand.

NXT is very popular here in the United States and is arguably the hottest brand in WWE today, more so than RAW and SmackDown Live. There is no doubt NXT UK will share that same lineage as its big brother, so to speak, and this is a major step forward in expanding the brand.

The heart of the matter

As first reported and covered by the Pro Wrestling Sheet, NXT UK stars Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven appeared on the British program: "Good Morning Britain" where they broke the news. Trent Seven commented on the new performance center during the interview.

“We’re going to be able to go from here straight to our secret location … our new NXT UK Performance Center. Fantastic news coming out all the way through the day. The fact that we’ve had this investment in us, and obviously the other wrestlers, and the British wrestling base is pretty exciting.”

Twitter user and editor of talkSPORT, Alex McCarthy released the following information in terms of details for the new performance center.

What's next?

Nothing else has been added or said by WWE outside of the announcement made in the above. An official announcement from the company is likely to be made very soon. NXT UK will be going live with "NXT TakeOver: Blackpool". The show will begin at around 2 pm (EST) here in the United States.
