WWE News: Peyton Royce and Billie Kay make their return to NXT at latest house show
The Iconic Duo has finally made their return.
What’s the story?
During the latest NXT house show in Citrus Springs, Florida, top NXT superstars Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, together known as The Iconic Duo, made their return to NXT, following their absence since NXT TakeOver: WarGames back in 2017.
In case you didn’t know…
At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Peyton Royce along with three other women. Ember Moon, Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross, competed in a fatal four-way match in order to determine the new NXT Women’s Champion, which was vacated by “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka.
Royce, who unfortunately couldn’t manage to win the title at TakeOver: WarGames, has been missing in action since November of 2017, along with her tag team partner Billie Kay. As reported by us, the reason is due to both ladies recently undergoing cosmetic surgery to receive breast implants.
The heart of the matter
Following a lengthy absence from NXT TV, it looks like both Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are now one step closer to making their on-screen return, as they were recently seen competing at an NXT house show at Citrus Springs, Florida.
As expected, upon their unofficial return to NXT, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay teamed up with each other and faced-off against the explosive duo of Candice LeRae and Kairi Sane, who eventually prevailed as the winners of the tag team match between the four ladies.
Below are a few images from Peyton Royce and Billie Kay’s return to NXT:
With their return to NXT at Citrus Springs, it is safe to assume that it won’t be long before we get to see The Iconic Duo also make their grand return to NXT TV, following an absence of almost five months.
In my opinion, both Peyton Royce and Billie Kay will eventually return to NXT TV within the next few weeks. A call up to the main roster for both the ladies is certainly long overdue.
